I’m Stephanie—an inherent introvert and homebody (read: comfort seeker) who deeply values personal growth. For me, that’s meant expanding beyond my habitual ways of being to become more of who I truly am. It’s a balance of learning to be still and get active, to embrace both comfort and challenge. Along the way, I’ve become a mindfulness practitioner, a yogi, and an admirer of the expansive outdoors—by land and by water.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is the primary approach I use in my work. It’s a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that focuses on building psychological flexibility—helping you stay present, make room for difficult emotions, and take meaningful action based on your values. ACT is rooted in behavioral science, but it also has a lot in common with Buddhist philosophy, Stoicism, and pragmatism, emphasizing mindfulness, acceptance, and living with intention.
Rather than trying to eliminate discomfort, ACT helps us change our relationship with thoughts and emotions so they don’t have so much control over our lives. My goal is to help you move toward what truly matters to you—taking steps, even small ones, in the direction of a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with who you are.
Welcoming new clients! As a counselor I am deeply committed to helping individuals find peace, balance, and a sense of well-being in their lives. My approach is rooted in compassion, and I prioritize building a warm, trusting relationship where you feel truly heard and understood.
By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with mindfulness practices, I offer a personalized approach that respects your unique needs and experiences. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, going through a life transition, or looking for support in managing stress, I am here to support you through your journey.
My goal is to empower you to develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and discover deeper fulfillment in your life. I have experience working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health concerns, from everyday stress to more complex emotional struggles, and I am here to support you with empathy and care.
