 Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness-based, evidence-informed form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). ACT focuses on building psychological flexibility by helping individuals develop awareness of their internal experiences, relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, and take meaningful action guided by personal values. Rather than working to eliminate discomfort, ACT supports individuals in learning how to make space for challenging experiences while continuing to move toward a fulfilling and values-driven life.
